Croatia, officially the Republic of Croatia, is a country at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, on the Adriatic Sea. It borders Slovenia to the northwest, Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro to the southeast, sharing a maritime border with Italy.


Many people visit Croatia because of its beautiful beaches. Most beaches in Croatia are rocky or has small pebbles, which is ideal for people for are not so fond of the sand getting everywhere on a beach holiday. However, sand lovers will also find places to satisfy their needs. But Croatia is so much more than just pretty beaches. Plitvice National Park, one of the best national parks in Europe, is also a bucket-list destination for the nature lover or adventure seeker.



If you’re a history buff or TV addict, many of Croatia’s ancient sites have served as filming locations for the HBO show "Game of Thrones."


As you are planning your trip, know that certain times of the year are cheaper to travel than others. Everyone knows flights will be more expensive around a holiday, but there are lots of other factors that determine how much you’ll pay for that flight or hotel.
